Caroline Harris leads our tight-knit team of communications professionals, who come from both PR and journalism backgrounds.

We also have long-standing relationships with experienced PR professionals - our 'Kindred Spirits' - who work on particular accounts, bringing specialist knowledge or skills to the core team.

Caroline Harris, Managing Director
Caroline provides strategic communications advice for all Spirit Public Relations’ clients.

She has 25 years’ experience in the communications industry with clients from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors and her work has won national PR and marketing awards.

Her strong strategic skills and commitment to her work are demonstrated in the way she has retained existing clients for many years at the same time as attracting new business for the company.

With a wide network of contacts in Bristol and the South West, before establishing Spirit Public Relations she spent ten years running her successful, independent consultancy Caroline Harris Public Relations.

Sue Amiel, Account Director
Sue oversees Spirit Public Relations’ day-to-day client activity.

With seven years’ experience in the industry, working with a range of clients across the public and private sectors, she has a strong background in business to business PR as well as regeneration and the built environment.

Endlessly good-humoured, with strong interpersonal skills and a real eye for detail, she has a track record of building effective relationships with clients and the media.

Kierstan Lowe, Senior Account Manager
Kierstan is a trained broadcast journalist with four years’ experience in a wide range of regional BBC and independent radio stations across the country.

She also worked for three years in Central Government, in the press offices of the Cabinet Office and the Department for Trade and Industry. As senior press officer, she managed a team which advised Ministers and officials on all media handling and managed media handling strategies across all policy areas.

She brings a strong and current understanding of the news agenda to her role at Spirit, where she directs and manages campaigns for a range of clients.

Dani Marlborough, Junior Account Manager
Dani joined Spirit two years ago and now handles several charity and consumer accounts herself, as well as providing PR support across all sectors.

Highly creative and efficient, she has a particular strength in event management, having worked for the Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership before joining the company.

Julie Peel, Associate Consultant
Julie provides support for a number of key accounts.

With a background in arts and consumer PR, she has particularly strong creative and media relations skills.

Julie has more than 20 years’ experience across a wide range of sectors and has worked as an associate with Caroline for the past seven years, having previously worked with her at JBP Public Relations. She has developed excellent long term working relationships with her clients, who include Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal and EDF Energy.
