The property industry is increasingly aware of the need to ensure developments meet rigorous standards of energy efficiency and sustainability. We are handling PR for some of the highest quality green developments in the region, which will set the benchmark for what will follow.

They include Cabot House – the greenest development in Bristol and the new national headquarters of the Environment Agency – which is currently being developed by our client Westmark; The Purifier House, a residential development in Bristol by our client Deeley Freed; and Littlecombe, a new community being created on a former industrial site in Gloucestershire by our client the South West RDA and its private sector partner St Modwen.

We have specific experience working on green issues for a range of clients. We have organised a major environmental conference for national magazine Property Week. We’ve provided publicity and media liaison for a green power company’s planning application to build a wind farm and worked across a range of media to promote a leading national energy provider’s environmental agenda.

Most recently, we worked on a fundraising and awareness campaign for Bristol-based social and environmental charity Tree Aid and placing media coverage for on the South West RDA’s low carbon campaign. Last year, we also provided PR support for EDF Energy’s ‘2012 Carbon Challenge’ programme at the 2008 Bristol Harbour Festival.

At Spirit we passionately believe in the importance of making a meaningful contribution to society and offer our services for community and charity work at a substantially reduced rate.

Since it was launched over 10 years ago, we with have worked closely with Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal which supports Bristol Children’s Hospital. At the end of 2008, we worked on a highly successful radio campaign called Bristol’s Big Give in partnership with GWR fm Bristol, which raised over £60,000 for the charity.

In the run up to Christmas 2008 our team oversaw a national fundraising campaign for Bristol-based environmental and social charity Tree Aid, backed by well known celebrity chefs including Raymond Blanc, Barny Haughton, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Antony Worrall Thompson.

We have also helped to launch art materials recycling charity Children’s Scrapstore and have worked extensively with a major energy supplier on their community activities across the region.
