SS Great Britain
Spirit works with SS Great Britain on projects to promote Brunel’s masterpiece, where the in-house team need additional resource or expertise. We have helped them launch a book about the ship and supported them with a media relations campaign to promote the start of work on their Being Brunel museum, which received blanked local coverage and national exposure in the Express, Mail and Mirror.
Most recently, this summer, we worked on a range of initiatives to drive visitors to the ship – from a cricket exhibition to coincide with the World Cup and Ashes series and a spectacular summer show – helping to secure local and national coverage. Most importantly, visitor numbers held up well, despite a drop off in European tourists to the UK due to Brexit uncertainty.
